Choosing Your Pizza Oven
Los Angeles Ovenworks pizza ovens are made in Italy on the island of Sardinia. Built by artisans and certified by Sincert the European high quality standard, these ovens are not only the ultimate cooking tool, but they are also offered at very competitive prices.
Each pizza oven kit comes with all the components you need for easy installation in your indoor or outdoor kitchen. Like brick pizza ovens, our refractory clay ovens provide an even, slow-food cooking experience. However, our ovens are much easier to assemble than brick ovens, because they are shipped in modules that can be installed by a contractor or by the ‘do it yourself’ homeowner over a weekend.
Our wood burning ovens are made of expanded clay and refractory materials in the traditional design that is so popular in Italy, and they are very energy efficient. Expanded clay is clay that has been heated to very high temperatures, forming into small, irregular balls, with high insulating properties, able to capture and retain heat, yet very light-weight.

Included in each of our pizza oven kits is a beautiful chimney manifold, carefully made of the same refractory materials as the oven itself. Unlike the metal manifold (metal will wear out in the heat) offered by other companies, our refractory chimney manifold will last as long as the oven.
Each oven kit includes the necessary refractory grout, a thermal insulating blanket (woven ceramic insulation), and a metal door with thermometer. See how easy it is to install a wood burning oven in your outdoor kitchen design.
When choosing your Italian pizza oven you will of course have to work within the space requirements of your project. To get an idea of how much space you will need for each oven model, look at the specification sheets. Keep in mind that it is good to purchase as big an oven as you have space for because the installation cost increases minimally for the larger ovens.
The thermal mass of our wood burning ovens is well balanced, making it possible to heat up the ovens quickly and to retain their heat for a long time. Pizzas only take 3 minutes to cook on the hot oven floor, so you can feed a lot of guests within a short time. Easily.
